WELCOME
Three Seasons Farm is a working farm in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley. We raise livestock, keep bees, grow flowers, herbs and specialty crops, and pursue new agricultural ideas with equal respect for good husbandry, sound evidence and careful work.

Our
Story
John & Rebecca
Three Seasons Farm brings together John Fuller’s daily work with the land and animals and Rebecca Polan’s interest in specialty crops, research and business development. John leads the day-to-day farming, tending the livestock and managing the land through the changing seasons. Rebecca helps develop new opportunities, from controlled-environment saffron cultivation to exploring what else the farm can grow and produce.
We share a curiosity about how things work and a willingness to learn by doing. Whether we’re caring for cattle or testing a new growing method, we want to understand what makes the difference between an ordinary product and an exceptional one—and give that work the attention it deserves.
Stewardship
Caring for the land is part of the daily work at Three Seasons Farm. Decisions about our pastures, animals and crops carry consequences for the soil and water, and we take that responsibility seriously. We look for practical ways to produce good food while protecting the resources that make farming possible.
In 2026, John and Three Seasons Farm received a Virginia Clean Water Farm Award, recognizing conservation practices that protect and improve local water quality. We’re proud of that recognition and the care and work behind it.
Our Mission
To produce food of uncommon quality—food that reflects the care, knowledge, patience, and judgment behind it.
Farm Life
Life at Three Seasons Farm includes cattle, horses, poultry, bees and seven donkeys who joined us in 2026. Caring for the animals gives each day its rhythm, while the gardens, pastures and growing spaces keep us attentive to the seasons.
There is always something to tend, something to learn and usually something that wasn’t on the day’s original list. We’ll share photographs and occasional stories here so you can get to know the animals, the people and the everyday work behind what we produce.
